Vape Charging & Ignition System for Yamaha XS650 (1.5kg Rotor, Complete System)

We are extremely excited to partner with Vape ignitions and we've added their most popular kits to our site.

These systems replace old, and questionable charging and ignitions systems with high powered, permanent magnet alternators and CDI ignitions to provide a very reliable completely modernized electrical system.

Vape systems can be easily integrated into a Motogadget m.Unit installation. We've been working closely with Vape to offer EXCLUSIVE kits that come with a Regulator/Rectifier that has been re-calibrated to work with both lead acid and lithium batteries.

Vape was the manufacturer of Power Dynamo ignition systems for vintage motorcycles since 1999. In 2018 Vape purchased Power Dyanmo to become all facets of manufacturing and distribution.

Vape ignitions are made to order and depending on availability, delivery times may be 4-6 weeks.

Make Certain that you have selected the correct system for your make and model. Once the order is placed with Vape, we can not accept cancellations or make changes to the order.

Easy install - perfect tunable advance - well made

Posted by Tom S on Mar 29th 2021

I have tried other CDI products and this is easily installed and instantly worked. The rotor and mounting plate have a timing mark and lining the marks at TDC gave perfect timing on the first attempt. The one suggestion for the timing plate is to put some timing marks so I could check initial and advance with a timing light but achieved this by taping this pintout to my stator plate: Am going to replace the supplied connectors but suspect everyone installing this will do the same. Supplied connectors got it up and going within 2 hours with an expectation that will tidy and shorten supplied wires as needed. Everything was very high quality and the although the instructions had some interesting english there was absolutely great detail and plenty of pictures. Pictures were supplied and most tasks were obvious with matching meaningful wire colors.
