The original Levi's Vintage Clothing 1947 501 were produced after World War II once raw materials became accessible again. With the company leaping back into heavy production, the jeans were updated to target the emerging middle class. The slimmer fit and no extra details like the cinch or suspender buttons complimented the classic features such as the watch pockets that were brought back from their wartime hiatus. Also, the back pocket Arcuate detail was now the original stitched design and no longer painted on.
All of these detail have been reproduced with immaculate detail using the same selvedge denim from Cone Mills of North Carolina.
